The rules from CCP is in my opinion somewhat poorly written since its indirectly open for subjective interpretation....
1. Exploits
"a. Creates a character using a name that is misleading and causes others to believe he is a fair target, such as a non-player pirate or other NPC entity"
That rule dont exclude or include misleading others to belive youre a another player, ergo the benefit of the doubt should favor the users..... and its should be directly illegal to impersonate other players.
6. Scamming
"a. Illegally obtains items from another through use of an exploit or cheat method."
To mislead others to aquire an item that gives you profitt thru "cheat" Methods, to cheat is to lie, mislead, hold back info... Ergo you exploit others lack of abilities to understand With use of cheat Methods. In subjective interpetation; its in violation of the rules.
7. misc:
"g. Engages in griefplay tactics which may include, but are not limited to, market/courier exploits."
This rule is counterdicting the other rules in view of subjective interpetation.
The rules state that its against EVE rules to "scam" other players, but it allows players to scam other players...
Also CCP dont state in the rules that its "absolute", ergo its open for interpetation... which gives the benefit of doubt to the offended player.
On the otherhand, it can also be interpetated by scammers, due to the loopholes within the rules, to favor them... all due to the lack of being absolute.

Ok,
Now impersonation is making yourself out to be someone else, however the old scam "give me x, and ill return x * 3" has been going ... well since the start :)
But this got me to thinking that over the last 12 months the increase of the bots that say something like "Quazal Atreides sent 100m return 500m" etc...
Curious how this is not using my name to fool others, Should this not fall under the impersonation or false representation of another player.
I have no problems (and in my early days may have even) scammed a small bit, but when the bots are filing local with tripe like that it got me wondering about how impersonation / false representation lines up
Now there are lies, lies and damn lies, but when someone is using my name to help them scam a player from cash that must surely be close if not cross the line?
and nope before the trolls i have not been scammed etc, and am merely wondering what the line is between the scam and eula "falsely present yourself to be a representative of another player"
is taken from eula are these scammers not saying that i am part of their scheme? For instance should a scammer use the veldmasters "chribba" name for example a new player might see it and think , oh chribba has done it so it must be cosha?
